Border Patrol Agents Rescue Four Migrants Abandoned by Human Smugglers

Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents rescued four migrants who had been abandoned on Texas ranches. Sheriff’s office officials in Brooks county reported 50 migrant deaths during 2018 on these ranches located about 80 miles north of the Texas-Mexico border.

Deported Sex Offenders Continue to Exploit Incomplete Border Walls

Sex offenders previously removed from the country by immigration officers continue to exploit outdated or incomplete border walls to regain entry into the U.S. El Centro Border Patrol Sector agents apprehended eight such offenders this fiscal year who illegally crossed into Southern California.

$14 Million in Meth Seized at Texas Border Crossing

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized a half a ton of methamphetamine estimated to be worth more than $14 million dollars as smugglers attempted to move the drugs through a South Texas border crossing. The smugglers allegedly concealed the methamphetamine within a commercial shipment of fresh produce this past Wednesday.

Three Sex Offenders Arrested in Single Day After Crossing Texas Border

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents stopped three sex offenders from successfully re-entering the U.S. after they illegally crossed the border into Texas. Two of the criminal aliens had convictions for sexual offenses against children — the third for sexual battery.

Kosovan Joins Central American Migrant Group Surrendering at Texas Border

Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended a large group of mostly Central American migrants who crossed the border near the town of Abram, Texas. At least one Kosovan joined the group of more than 100 families and unaccompanied minors who surrendered after crossing from Mexico.

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector apprehended two large groups of Central American migrants who illegally crossed the border. Child Rapist, Gang Members Arrested by Texas Border Patrol Agents

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector arrested three Central Americans who are known members of violent gangs. The agents also arrested five illegal immigrants with criminal histories that include convictions for homicide, child rape, and other sexual crimes against children.

Feds Ink Second Contract for Border Walls in South Texas

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced the awarding of a second contract to begin construction of new border walls in the Rio Grande Valley Sector. The contract calls for the building of approximately eight miles of new or replacement border barriers beginning in February 2019.
