Four Women Convicted for Setting Migrant Water Stations in U.S. Wildlife Refuge

A federal court in Arizona convicted four women after they left containers of water in the desert for migrants who illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico. The volunteers for a non-profit group illegally entered the Cabeza Prieta refuge and left water jugs to help migrants make their trek across the desert.

Dead Migrant Found 80 Miles North of Texas-Mexico Border

Border Patrol agents and a Texas sheriff’s deputy recovered the recently deceased body of a Mexican national who died while attempting to circumvent an immigration checkpoint 80 miles north of the Texas-Mexico border.

Deceased Migrant Girl’s Father Did Not Report Illness for 7 Hours, Says CBP

CBP officials stated that the father of the seven-year-old girl who died in Border Patrol custody on December 7 claimed she was in good health until seven hours after they were apprehended. The father made mention of the girl being sick as they began a two-hour bus ride from the forward operating base to the Lordsburg Border Patrol Station.

4 Migrants Found Dead on Texas Border in as Many Days

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents found the bodies of four migrants who died while attempting to cross the border from Mexico into Texas. They apparently drowned in the Rio Grande River during a four-day period.

Migrant Deaths near U.S. Border Up 180 Percent over Past 5 Years

The number of migrants who died after illegally crossing the border from Mexico to the U.S. since 2014 rose by nearly 180 percent. So far this year, 260 lost their lives near the U.S-Mexico Border–mostly during or shortly after their crossings.

5 Migrants Found Dead in Texas After Illegally Crossing Border

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Sector assisted in the recovery of five deceased migrants between Friday and Sunday. More than 80 migrants have died this year in this one sector after illegally crossing the border.
