College Professors Celebrate the Fourth of July by Bashing America

Instead of celebrating America’s independence over the weekend, professors at colleges and universities around the country offered criticisms of the United States on the Fourth of July. One professor even argued that the United States government should be redesigned for the modern era.

Dartmouth Plans a Partial Reopening for Fall Semester

Dartmouth College announced this week that it will reopen its campus in September to approximately 50 percent of its student body. First-year students will be invited to live and study on campus for the entirety of the upcoming academic year. Most Dartmouth classes will remain online in a similar fashion to most college and universities taught classes in the Spring semester.

College That Inspired ‘Animal House’ Bans Liquor on Campus

In a case of life coming full circle, the college that inspired the film Animal House, Dartmouth College, will ban hard alcohol on campus due to what Dartmouth President Philip J. Hanlon called “extreme behaviors,” adding that “it is hard alcohol — rather than just beer or wine — that lands students on a hospital gurney.”
